The Kuroshio Current, also known as the Japan Warm Current, is part of the Pacific Ocean Current and the second largest ocean current in the world, second only to the Gulf Stream. The Kuroshio Current starts from the Philippines, passes through the eastern waters of Taiwan, flows northeast along Japan, and finally meets the Oyashio Current and merges into the North Pacific Ocean Current.
